Teaching and Learning

I have been a teacher and educator in the New York City public school system for the past seven years (2018-2025) in various capacities: full time classroom teacher for global history and government and economics (9th and 12th grade), an senior elective research educator, an after school and elective coordinator, an escape-room builder, and a student teacher. I believe deeply in engaging pedagogy that challenges the norms of a traditional history classroom. I received student selected teaching awards in 2022 and 2023.

FALL 2023: TA for a 3000 level course at Barnard College entitled “Race, Place, and Urban Schools,”

FALL 2024: Visiting Assistant Professor at The Pratt Institute where I taught “Youth in the City,” in the Arts Education Department.

Fall 2025: I will be a Visiting Scholar at the ‘Catalysts of Decolonisation Lab,’ an intersectional project housed in Cambridge University’s Centre for Research in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. I will be supporting the construction of a course on 20th century anti-colonial movements for UK high school students.

Spring 2026: I will be a Visiting Assistant Professor at UVA, piloting a Speculative Archival Games course based off my Worldbuilding Pedagogies project.
